Club Crest End of Season Awards
Club crest awards depend on one thing more than any other: the quality of the crest file you upload. The badge is what makes an award belong to your club, and on our glass blocks it prints in full colour at the top of the front face. This page covers how to find the best version of your crest, how different types of badge print, and what to do with white, wide or highly detailed logos.

Finding the right file
The best file is rarely the one on your website or social media, which is usually compressed and small. Ask whoever designed the crest for the original, or ask your kit supplier, who will normally hold a high-quality version for printing shirts. A transparent PNG is ideal, because the crest prints without a white box around it. A large, sharp JPG also works. For end of season awards, a clear club crest ties different sizes, titles and names together as one club presentation.
If you only have a small image, upload the largest version you can find. Fine detail and small lettering need resolution to print sharply.
How different crests print
Football badges are often shields or roundels with bold shapes and two or three colours, and they print cleanly. Rugby clubs frequently have traditional heraldic crests with mottos, and older bowls and golf clubs tend to have detailed badges with fine lettering around a central emblem. These print well from a good file, but small lettering is only ever as sharp as the image it comes from.
Running, triathlon, esports and newer clubs often have modern wordmarks: wide logos made mostly of text. These run across the top of the award and are shorter in height than a shield, so check the balance with the text lines below as you design.

White logos and the dark backing panel
Many clubs use a white version of their crest on dark shirts and social media banners. White on clear glass would barely show, so when your crest is white on a transparent background we offer a dark backing panel behind it. If you have both a full-colour and a white version, the full-colour one usually looks best on glass, as it prints in the club's own colours.
When the crest says it all
Some crests already include the club name and sometimes a founding year. In that case, free up line 2 for something more useful, such as the team or age group, rather than repeating the name. Some clubs go further and order crest-only awards with no text, as a gift for a sponsor or a display piece for the clubhouse.
Once the crest is uploaded, same crest, new name lets you add as many awards as you need without uploading it again. Our sport pages cover the awards and wording that suit each sport, so the crest sits alongside titles that make sense to your members.

Questions
What file type should our crest be?
PNG or JPG. A transparent PNG is ideal because the crest prints without a background box. Upload the largest, sharpest version you have, ideally the original from the designer or kit supplier rather than a copy saved from social media.
Our crest has very small lettering. Will it be readable?
It prints as sharply as your file allows, so the bigger and cleaner the image, the better small lettering comes out. If the lettering looks soft when you zoom into your file, find a higher-resolution version before ordering.
Do you redraw or tidy up crests?
No. We don't offer a design service, so the crest is printed from the file you upload. If your file is poor quality, it is worth asking your kit supplier or the original designer for a better version before you order.
Can we order crest-only awards with no text?
Yes. Every text line is optional, so you can print just the crest. Some clubs add crest-only awards for sponsors or the clubhouse alongside a named set. The minimum order is 5 awards across the whole order, in any mix of sizes.
