Volleyball End of Season Awards

Planning volleyball end of season awards usually means thinking about more than one team. Most UK clubs run men's and women's sides in the National Volleyball League or a regional league, plus juniors, and some also have a sitting volleyball group or a summer beach squad. Our glass awards are UV-printed in full colour with your club crest and up to four lines of text, so every section can be recognised with a matching set made in Cornwall.

When the volleyball season ends

Indoor volleyball in England runs from roughly September or October through to April, with league fixtures, cup rounds and junior events spread across the winter. Most clubs hold their presentation evening in May, once the last fixtures and any play-offs are done and before beach volleyball takes over for the summer.

Because the indoor season straddles two years, the split format works best on the award: "2025/26" sits neatly on the bottom line. If your club also hands out beach awards later in the summer, the year on its own is clearer there.

Awards volleyball clubs actually give

Volleyball suits position-based awards better than most team sports because the roles are so distinct. Common titles include Best Setter, Best Libero, Best Blocker and Best Server or Ace of the Season, alongside the general ones: Most Valuable Player, Players' Player, Most Improved and a Coach's Award.

The libero award deserves a mention of its own. The libero wears a different shirt, cannot attack above the net and rarely features in scoring stats, so a dedicated award is often the only way that player's passing and digging gets recognised. Coaches tend to decide the positional awards, while Players' Player is voted by the squad.

How many awards each team needs

An indoor squad is usually ten to fourteen players. A typical set per team is five or six: MVP, Players' Player, Most Improved, Coach's Award and one or two positional awards. With a men's team, a women's team and a junior group, that soon reaches fifteen or more.

A sensible mix is Small awards at £8.99 each for team-level awards and Large at £13.99 for club-wide honours such as Club Player of the Year or Volunteer of the Year. Sizes and designs mix freely in one order, and the minimum of five applies to the order as a whole, not to each design.

Crests and wording for volleyball clubs

Volleyball club logos tend to be modern: a ball with curved panel lines, a swoosh, or the club name set in a bold typeface. They usually print cleanly because they are simple vector-style artwork. If your logo is white on a transparent background, choose the dark backing panel so it shows on the glass.

For wording, keep line 1 short: BEST LIBERO or MVP fit easily. Use line 2 for the team, such as "Women's 1st Team" or "U16 Boys", line 3 for the name and line 4 for the season. Once the first design is done, use Same crest, new name, or paste a list of names, to fill in the rest of the squad.

Questions

Should the libero get a separate award from best defender?

If the libero is the obvious standout in defence, many clubs treat them as one award. If you also have strong defensive hitters, a separate Best Libero keeps the comparison fair. Award titles are free text, so you can name it however your club prefers.

Can we include beach volleyball awards in the same order?

Yes. Each award in an order can carry a different title, team and season line, so indoor awards marked 2025/26 and beach awards showing a single year can go in together, as long as the order has at least five awards in total.

Our junior section has its own logo. Can we use both logos?

Yes. Each award is designed separately, so you can put the junior logo on the junior awards and the club crest on the senior awards within the same order, mixing Small and Large as you go.

How long does delivery take?

Made in Cornwall and delivered within 7 days Delivery is a flat £10.00 per order whatever the quantity, so it usually makes sense to order the whole club's awards together, a few weeks before the presentation evening.
