Rounders End of Season Awards

Rounders end of season awards come at the end of a short, busy summer. Most leagues play on light evenings from May to August, often with mixed teams, and many sides are formed from workplaces, schools or groups of friends rather than long-established clubs. Our glass awards are UV-printed in full colour with your team logo, or with text alone, so a league or a single team can mark the season properly.

The rounders season

Rounders is a summer sport, with most leagues running weekly evening fixtures from May through August and finishing with finals or a tournament day. Presentations usually follow in September or October, often at the league AGM or a social evening, and sometimes on finals day itself.

Because the season sits within one year, use the year alone on the bottom line rather than a split season. Many leagues add Summer League or the division name alongside it.

Who gives the awards

In rounders the league often does the awarding: League Champions, Runners-up, Division Winners, Cup Winners and sometimes a Fair Play award. Individual teams then add their own: Player of the Season, Best Batter, Best Bowler, Best Backstop, Best Fielder and Most Rounders Scored.

Backstop is worth singling out. The backstop stands behind the batter, takes the bowler's deliveries and stumps runners out at first post, and does a lot of catching that never shows on a scoresheet. Most teams decide individual awards by a player vote at the last fixture.

How many to order

A rounders team fields nine players from a squad of up to fifteen, and five individual awards meets the minimum order exactly. A league giving awards to winners and runners-up in each division, plus a cup, can mix Large awards at £13.99 for those with Small at £8.99 for individual awards in one order.

If a league wants every player in the winning team to get one, design the first and paste the rest of the names in bulk. Flat delivery of £10.00 covers the lot.

Mixed leagues often have rules on how many men and women must be in the batting order, so some teams give a best batter award for each. Putting BEST BATTER on line 1 and Men or Women on line 2 keeps it fair without inventing extra award names.

Text-only awards and team logos

Plenty of rounders teams have no crest at all, especially workplace and social sides. Text-only awards work well: four lines for award, team, name and year. If your team has a logo, often a simple design made by a team member, upload it as a PNG; a transparent background looks cleanest on glass.

Leagues sometimes have a more formal badge. If you are ordering for the league, use the league's logo on the league awards and put the team name on line 2, so each winning team sees its own name.

Questions

Our team has no logo. Can we still order?

Yes. Every line is optional and text-only awards work well. Most teams use the four lines for award title, team name, player name and year, which looks tidy on clear glass without any crest at the top.

What does Best Backstop recognise?

The backstop stands behind the batter, catches the bowler's deliveries and stumps out runners at first post. It is a busy, skilful role that rarely shows up in the scoring, which is why many teams give it a dedicated award.

Can a league order one award for every player in the winning team?

Yes. Set up the first award with the league logo and title, then use Same crest, new name or paste the squad list in bulk. You can mix in a Large award for the captain or the team in the same order.

How long do awards take to arrive?

Made in Cornwall and delivered within 7 days With most rounders presentations in September or October, ordering soon after the last fixture leaves plenty of time. Delivery is a flat £10.00 for the whole order.
