Cricket End of Season Awards

Cricket end of season awards usually come round in September, once the last league fixture is played and the covers go back in the shed. Some clubs present on the final Saturday, others at an annual dinner in the autumn. Our glass awards are UV-printed in full colour, with your club badge at the top and up to four lines for the award, club, player and figures.

When cricket clubs present their awards

The league season typically runs from late April to early September. Junior sections often finish sooner and hold their own presentation on a summer evening or at a finals day, while the senior awards wait for the annual dinner or the last home match.

The club secretary or social secretary usually handles the order, with each XI captain sending through their winners. The junior section co-ordinator often runs a separate list for the age groups.

Statistical awards cannot be finalised until the scorebooks are, so build in a week after the last fixture for the scorer to check the figures. Rained-off and conceded matches at the end of the summer can shift an average, which is another reason not to order early.

The awards a cricket club hands out

Cricket awards lean on statistics more than most sports. Batting and bowling averages are the traditional pair for each XI, often joined by most runs and most wickets. Fielder of the year and wicketkeeper of the year cover the rest of the game, and clubman of the year thanks the person who did the teas, the scoring or the rolling.

A club with a 1st, 2nd and 3rd XI, a Sunday side and a midweek T20 team can easily need twenty or more awards. Small blocks at £8.99 suit the per-XI statistical awards, with large blocks at £13.99 kept for the club's player of the year and clubman.

Cricket badges on glass

Cricket clubs often have older, traditional badges: crossed bats, stumps, a county emblem or a heraldic device, sometimes with fine lettering around the edge. Detail like that prints well in full colour, but only from a good source file, so upload the largest version you have.

A transparent PNG works best. If the badge is white on a transparent background, we can add a dark backing panel so it shows clearly on the glass.

Wording for a summer sport

Because cricket is played within one summer, the season line is normally just the year, not a split season like the 2025/26 format football clubs use. Put the XI in the club line, for example your club name followed by 2ND XI.

Figures make cricket awards personal. A batting award can carry the runs and average; a bowling award the wickets and average. Set up one design, then add the other winners using the same badge, or paste a list of names to speed things up.

Questions

Can each XI have different awards in one order?

Yes. Every award in the order can have its own title, team line, name and figures. The badge stays the same throughout, so the whole club's set matches.

Should juniors get the same awards as seniors?

Junior sections usually keep it simpler, with a player of the year and most improved for each age group rather than full averages. Some give every child an award at the youngest ages.

When should we order for an October dinner?

Once the averages are final and the captains have agreed the winners, usually within a week or two of the last fixture. Made in Cornwall and delivered within 7 days That leaves plenty of margin before an autumn dinner.

What does it cost?

Small awards are £8.99 each and large awards are £13.99 each, with a minimum order of 5 and a flat £10.00 delivery charge per order.
