Lacrosse End of Season Awards

Lacrosse end of season awards often have to serve several versions of the same sport. A UK club might run men's field lacrosse, women's lacrosse, a summer mixed team and a junior section, each with different rules and positions. Our glass awards are UV-printed in full colour with your club crest and up to four lines of text, so every side gets a matching award made in Cornwall.

Lacrosse seasons in the UK

Men's and women's club lacrosse in England is mostly a winter game, running from September to April with regional leagues and cup competitions. Mixed lacrosse fills the summer, often as a social league. University lacrosse follows the academic year, and schools play mainly in the winter and spring terms.

Most clubs hold their awards dinner in April or May, after the last league games and finals. The season line is usually "2025/26" for winter teams, with the year alone for any summer mixed awards.

Awards for a lacrosse club

Common titles include MVP, Players' Player, Top Goalscorer and Most Improved, with positional awards for Attacker, Midfielder and Defender of the Year. Goalie of the Year carries real weight, as a lacrosse goalie faces hard shots from close range and starts the clear upfield.

Some clubs add a Ground Ball award for the player who wins the most loose balls, a Face-off award in the men's game, and Rookie of the Year for players who picked up a stick for the first time this season, which is common in a sport many people discover at university.

Heritage crests and newer clubs

Lacrosse has a long history in the north west of England, and some of the older clubs there have traditional crests with shields, scrolls and fine lettering. Newer clubs and many university teams use modern logos built around crossed sticks. Detailed crests need a high resolution file, so ask for the original artwork rather than using an image from social media.

White crossed-stick logos on transparent artwork will need the dark backing panel to show against the glass.

Ordering across men's, women's and juniors

A typical club gives five or six awards per team. With men's and women's first and second teams plus juniors, that is easily twenty-five. Small awards at £8.99 suit team awards, with Large at £13.99 for club-wide honours. The minimum order is five, sizes mix freely and every team can go in one order.

Use line 2 to make the team clear ("Women's 1st Team", "U15 Boys", "Mixed"), then the name and the season. Long positional titles such as DEFENDER OF THE YEAR fit on one line, but if you want the team in the title too, move it to line 2 rather than squeezing it in.

Junior sections often run from school-age taster groups through to under-18s, and many clubs present junior awards at a separate afternoon event. You can still put everything in one order and hand the junior awards over on the day.

Questions

Should men's and women's lacrosse have different award titles?

It can help, because positions differ between the games. The men's game has face-offs and long-stick defenders, while the women's game has the draw and its own positions. Titles are free text, so each team can use the terms its players use.

Our crest is very old and only exists as a scan. Will it print?

A clean, large scan can print well. Avoid photos of a printed badge, which pick up shadows and blur. If the crest appears on the club website, ask whoever manages it for the original file, which is usually sharper.

Can we include summer mixed lacrosse awards?

Yes, in the same order or separately. Mixed awards usually carry a single year rather than a split season, and the team line can say Mixed so they are not confused with the winter league awards.

Is there a minimum number of awards?

The minimum order is five awards, in any mix of Small at £8.99 and Large at £13.99. Delivery is a flat £10.00 per order, whatever the quantity. Made in Cornwall and delivered within 7 days
