Boxing End of Season Awards

Boxing end of season awards are a chance for an amateur boxing club to recognise more than the boxers who competed. A typical club gym also holds fitness classes, junior sessions and a group of coaches and helpers who give up their evenings week after week. Our printed glass awards carry your club badge in full colour with up to four lines of text, so carded boxers, juniors and volunteers can all be honoured.

The amateur boxing calendar

Club shows and carded bouts run through autumn, winter and spring, with the main championships for schools, juniors, youth and elite boxers mostly falling between winter and early summer. Summer is usually quieter, which is why many clubs hold their presentation night in June or July.

Others prefer a Christmas function, reflecting on the year's bouts while the club is still busy. Either way, ask your coaches to agree winners well in advance, and check how each boxer wants their name to appear, since many are known in the gym by a nickname.

Awards boxing clubs give

Boxer of the year is the main award, often split into senior and junior or schools categories. Most improved boxer and best newcomer recognise boxers who had their first bouts during the year, while a coaches' award goes to the boxer whose attitude in training set the standard.

Best bout of the season is a popular choice, decided by coaches or members, and many clubs make a point of recognising any boxer who won a regional or national title. Gyms with a large non-competitive membership often add a fitness member of the year, and a dedication award for helpers keeps the club's volunteers in the picture.

Boxing club badges

Boxing club badges commonly use gloves, a ring, crossed fists or the club's initials, with strong reds, blacks and golds. Some of the oldest clubs have traditional badges with fine lettering around a roundel, which needs a large, sharp file to print well. Newer gyms often have bold modern logos in white for use on kit, and those benefit from our dark backing panel.

Wording and order planning

Line one is the title and line two the club name. Use line three for the boxer's name and line four for the category or a short record, such as JUNIOR SECTION or 6 BOUTS 5 WINS. If you are celebrating a championship, put the title on line one, for example NATIONAL CHAMPION.

Most clubs order large awards for boxer of the year and best bout, and small awards for the rest, all in one order. Add names without uploading the badge again, and use the live on-screen mock-up to make sure records and categories fit.

Questions

How should a best bout of the season award be worded?

Most clubs give the award to their own boxer from the bout. Use BEST BOUT OF THE SEASON on line one, the club name on line two, the boxer's name on line three and the show or season on line four.

Can we include fitness members and helpers?

Yes. Titles such as FITNESS MEMBER OF THE YEAR or DEDICATION AWARD work on the same design as your boxing awards. Each award can carry its own title and name in one order of 5 or more.

Can we put a boxer's record on the award?

You can add a short record to the last line, for example 8 BOUTS 7 WINS. Keep it brief so it stays clear alongside the boxer's name and the club name.

What do the awards cost?

Small awards are £8.99 each and large awards are £13.99 each, with a minimum order of 5. Delivery is a flat £10.00 per order, and you pay by card at checkout.
