Rugby Union End of Season Awards
Rugby union end of season awards usually arrive in late April or May, once the league fixtures are finished and the clubhouse can host a proper dinner. Whether your club runs one senior XV or a full set of senior, women's, colts and mini sections, the presentation night is when the committee thanks everyone who turned out through the winter. Our glass awards are UV-printed with your crest in full colour and made in Cornwall.

When rugby clubs hold their presentation nights
The community season runs from September through to April, with cup finals and sevens sometimes pushing into May. Most senior sections hold a sit-down dinner in the clubhouse soon after the last league game, often with a guest speaker and the president handing out the silverware.
Minis and juniors tend to have their own event, usually a Sunday morning presentation after the final festival or training session, with families in the clubhouse. That means many clubs are really planning two separate occasions, and it is worth deciding early whether you place one combined order or two.
The awards a typical rugby club gives out
Each senior team usually has a players' player, a coach's or captain's player of the season, forward and back of the season, a most improved award and a top try scorer. On top of that sit the club-wide honours such as clubman or clubwoman of the year and a president's award.
Count it up team by team. A 1st XV might need six or seven awards, and a club fielding a 2nd XV and a women's side can easily reach twenty. Colts and age-grade sides often keep it simpler, with two or three awards per group chosen by the coaches.

Printing a traditional rugby crest
Rugby club badges are often proper heraldic shields, with quartered arms, a Latin motto on a scroll and fine linework. Because we print in full colour, the crest comes out in your own club colours rather than as a single tone, so hoops, stripes and borders keep their look.
Upload the largest version of the crest you can find, ideally a transparent PNG from whoever designed your kit or website. If your badge is white on a transparent background, we can add a dark backing panel behind it so it stands out on the clear glass.
Wording that suits rugby teams
A clear layout is award title on line one, club name on line two, the player's name on line three and the team plus season on line four, for example 1st XV 2025/26. Rugby seasons span two calendar years, so the split season reads more accurately than a single year.
Use the name people will recognise in years to come rather than a dressing-room nickname, and shorten long titles where you can. PLAYERS' PLAYER with the season below fits more comfortably than squeezing PLAYERS' PLAYER OF THE SEASON onto one line.

Planning the order for the whole club
Most clubs use the Small square block for team awards and save the Large portrait block for the headline honours, such as clubman of the year and the 1st XV players' player. Small awards are £8.99 each and Large are £13.99 each, and you can mix both sizes in one order.
Set up the crest once, then add each name using the same crest, or paste the full list of winners in one go. The minimum order is five awards, delivery is a flat £10.00 per order, and ordering as soon as the votes are counted leaves time before the dinner.

Questions
Can we order awards for the 1st XV, 2nd XV and women's team in one go?
Yes. Sizes and designs can be mixed freely in a single order, so each team can have its own award titles and team name on line four while sharing the same crest. You only upload the crest once and then add each winner's name.
Our crest has a small Latin motto. Will it print clearly?
Fine detail prints best from the largest, sharpest file you have, ideally a transparent PNG. The design view shows your crest on a photo of the award as you type, so you can judge it before ordering. If the motto looks tight, the Large block gives the crest more room.
Should rugby awards show the season or a single year?
Because the rugby season runs from autumn to spring, most clubs put the split season, such as 2025/26, on the bottom line. It avoids any argument later about which year an award belongs to, and it matches how fixture lists and club histories are usually written.
How long will delivery take?
Made in Cornwall and delivered within 7 days Delivery is a flat £10.00 per order whatever the quantity, so ordering the senior and junior awards together keeps the cost down. Place the order once your votes are settled so the awards are in hand before the presentation night.
