Running Clubs End of Season Awards

Running clubs end of season awards cover a wider range of people than almost any other sport. The same club might include cross country regulars, marathon runners, parkrun newcomers and a junior section, all hoping for recognition at the annual dinner. Our glass awards are UV-printed in full colour with your club logo and up to four lines of text, so championship winners and first-time finishers can share a matching design.

When running clubs present awards

Running has no single season. Cross country leagues run through the winter, roughly October to February, road racing and club championships fill the rest of the year, and track and field runs through the summer. Most clubs settle on one annual awards evening or dinner, often between January and March, covering the previous calendar year.

Cross country awards are the exception: if they are given separately at the end of the league, "2025/26" is the clearer season line. Club championships usually use a single year.

Championships, age categories and grand prix

Most club championships score members across a list of races at different distances, sometimes called a grand prix. Winners are split by sex and by age, typically a senior category and then veteran categories such as V40, V50 and V60. Some clubs use age grading so runners of all ages compete on one table.

Popular individual awards include Male and Female Club Champion, Cross Country Champion, Most Improved Runner, Newcomer of the Year, Marathon Achievement for first-time finishers, Ultra Runner of the Year and Club Person of the Year for the volunteer who leads groups, organises the club's race or handles the kit order.

Planning the order

A club giving men's and women's champions across five age categories needs ten awards before anything else. Large awards at £13.99 suit the overall club champions and the volunteer award, while Small at £8.99 suit age category winners and achievements. The minimum is five awards per order, with sizes mixed as you like.

Achievement awards for every member who finished their first marathon can be done quickly with the bulk names option. Flat delivery of £10.00 covers the whole order.

Logos and wording for running clubs

Running club logos tend to be wide wordmarks, a running figure, or the club name with a local landmark. Because a wide wordmark is scaled down to fit across the block, the figure or emblem alone often reads better at the top, with the club name typed on a text line. Vest logos are often white; upload a transparent version and choose the dark backing panel.

Put the award on line 1, the category on line 2 ("Female V50"), the name on line 3 and the year or race on line 4. For marathon achievements, the race and finish time make a good final line.

Questions

How should we show veteran categories on the award?

Use the format your club already uses in its results, such as V40, M45 or F55. Put it on line 2, with or without the word Champion, so line 1 can stay as the main award title.

Can every first-time marathon finisher get an award?

Yes. Design the first award with your logo and title, then paste a list of the finishers' names. Each award can carry a different race and time on its own lines, so every runner's award is their own.

Our logo is a white running figure. Will it work on glass?

Yes, with the dark backing panel. Upload the transparent PNG version of the white logo and choose the dark panel, so the figure shows clearly rather than disappearing into the clear glass.

When should we order for a January awards dinner?

Order as soon as the championship tables are final in December, allowing for the Christmas post. Made in Cornwall and delivered within 7 days Delivery is a flat £10.00, however many awards you order.
