Supporters Player of the Year Award
A supporters player of the year award is the one prize decided by the people on the touchline or in the stand. It is common in non-league football, rugby union and hockey clubs with a regular home crowd, and players often value it more than the committee's choice. This page covers running a fair vote, when to present it and how to fit a long title on the award.

Running the vote
Most clubs use a simple ballot: slips at the bar or in the matchday programme, a box behind the counter, and a closing date before the last home game. Online polls reach more people but are easier to fill with repeat votes, so many clubs limit them to members or season ticket holders. Whatever you use, publish the rules in advance and have two people count. Include the supporters' choice in your end of season awards so the people who follow the club have a say.
Some supporters' clubs run a vote across the whole season instead, with fans picking a top three after every home match: three points for first, two for second, one for third. It rewards consistency over one big game.
When to present it
Unlike most awards, this one is often presented on the pitch before or after the last home fixture, so the people who voted see it handed over. In football and rugby that usually means April. If you are presenting at the ground, the award has to arrive before that match, not before the later presentation dinner, so plan the vote and the order around it.
Hockey and netball clubs with a crowd tend to present at the final home league match in March or April. If the season ends away from home, many clubs hold the award back for the presentation night instead, and announce the winner at the ground on the last home day so supporters still hear the result first.

How it sits with other player awards
Most senior clubs present three player of the year awards: the manager's or coach's choice, the players' player and the supporters' choice. When one player wins all three, distinct titles on line one mean each award still tells its own story on the shelf.
Some supporters' clubs pay for this award themselves and like their name on it. That is easy to do on line two, with the club crest or the supporters' club badge at the top.
Fitting the title
SUPPORTERS' PLAYER OF THE YEAR is a long line. It fits, and you can see how it sits under the crest as you type. Shorter alternatives include FANS' PLAYER OF THE YEAR or SUPPORTERS' CHOICE. Use line two for the club or supporters' club, line three for the player and line four for the season, such as 2025/26.
The Large block at £13.99 gives a long title more room, which is why most clubs choose it for this award.

Questions
Can the supporters' club order its own awards separately?
Yes. Every order needs a minimum of 5 awards, so a supporters' club ordering on its own might add player of the month winners or an away player of the year. Otherwise the award can simply go in the club's main order.
What if two players tie in the vote?
Many clubs accept a joint award and order two, one with each name, which is easy because every award in an order can carry its own name. Others use the number of first-place votes as a tie-break. Agree the rule before voting opens.
Can we use the supporters' club badge rather than the club crest?
Yes. Upload whichever logo you want at the top, as a PNG or JPG. If the supporters' club badge is white on a transparent background, we can print a dark backing panel behind it so it shows clearly on the glass.
Will it arrive in time for the last home game?
Made in Cornwall and delivered within 7 days Because the last home game usually comes before the presentation night, count back from that fixture rather than the dinner, and close the vote with enough time left to place the order.
