5 a Side Tournament Trophies

5 a side tournament trophies have to cover a lot of players for a small number of teams. A winning five-a-side squad is often seven or eight people with rolling subs, and every one of them expects something to take home. Our printed glass awards let you order a set for the winning squad, a few headline individual awards and a centrepiece for the captain, all with your tournament or league logo in full colour.

Counting awards for a small-sided squad

Start with the squad size your rules allow. Most five-a-side competitions let teams register a few rolling substitutes, so a winning squad can be anything from five to eight players. Order one small award per registered player for the winners, plus the same for the runners-up if the budget allows. For clubs that also organise end of season awards, tournament prizes can be added to the same order.

Then add the individual awards: golden boot for the top scorer, golden glove for the best keeper and player of the tournament. A large block for the winning captain to lift gives the presentation a focal point.

One-day tournaments versus weekly leagues

A one-day tournament has the same problem as any cup competition: you do not know the winners until the final. Order the squad awards with the tournament name, the title and the date, and leave the name line empty. A set of eight matching awards needs just one design, ordered in the quantity you need.

A weekly small-sided league is different. The table is usually settled a week or two before the last night, so there is time to order named awards for the champions, the top scorer and the fair play side. The bulk option lets you paste the squad list straight from your league sheet.

Logos for tournaments and leagues

Plenty of five-a-side events have no crest at all. Work tournaments, pub leagues and fundraisers often use a simple text logo or nothing. That is fine, as the awards can be text only, with the tournament name on line 1 where a badge would sit.

If you do have a logo, it is often a bold, modern design made for social media, which prints cleanly. If the only version you have is white on a transparent background, choose the dark backing panel so it shows on the glass.

Wording that fits short-format football

Keep line 1 short and recognisable: WINNERS, GOLDEN BOOT, PLAYER OF THE TOURNAMENT. Put the competition name on line 2, for example Friday Night 5s or the company name, the player on line 3 and the date or season on line 4. For a league that runs from autumn to spring, a season label such as 2025/26 reads best.

A fair play award is worth including. Small-sided football is played at close quarters, many sets of rules ban slide tackles, and recognising the side that kept its head sets the tone for next year's entries.

Questions

How many trophies do we need for a five-a-side tournament?

Count the registered squads, not five per team. With eight players in the winning squad and eight runners-up, plus golden boot, golden glove and player of the tournament, you need 19 awards. The minimum order of 5 is easy to reach.

Can every player on the winning team get the same award?

Yes. Design one award with the tournament logo, title and date, and order as many as you need. If you want each player named, use same crest, new name to add each name in turn, or paste the squad list with the bulk option.

We don't have a logo. Can we still order?

Yes. The crest is optional, so a text-only award works well, with the tournament name, award title, team or player and the date. The layout appears on a photo of the award as you type, so you can judge how it looks before ordering.

How much is delivery?

Delivery is a flat £10.00 for the whole order, however many awards you add. Small awards are £8.99 each and large are £13.99, so the total for a full tournament set is simple to work out before you collect entry fees.
