Tennis Junior Champion Award
A tennis junior champion award is often the first title a young player wins, and it tends to be kept for a long time. Junior club championships are usually split by age and gender, so even a small club ends up with a long list of winners and runners-up. This page covers how junior events are organised and how to order for them without fuss.

Tennis end of season awards: how junior championships are usually run
Most clubs hold junior championships in the summer holidays, when children are free and the courts are quieter in the daytime. Events follow age groups such as under-10s, under-12s, under-14s, under-16s and under-18s, with boys' and girls' singles and sometimes doubles.
The youngest players often play mini tennis formats on smaller courts with red or orange balls, sometimes as round-robin groups rather than knockouts so everyone gets several matches. The junior co-ordinator or head coach usually builds the draw.
Presenting to juniors
Some clubs present on the last day of the junior championships while parents are there. Others hand out junior titles at the senior finals day, which gives young players an audience and a chance to watch the adult finals.
Because winners are not known until the event ends, plan for a short gap. Many clubs collect the names on the day, order straight away and present a little later at a junior presentation or club social.

Wording for junior events
Keep line 1 short so the child's name stands out: JUNIOR CHAMPION works well, with the event on another line such as U12 GIRLS SINGLES or U10 BOYS. A typical layout is title, event, name and club.
For mini tennis winners, the ball colour can take the place of the age group, for example ORANGE BALL CHAMPION. Runners-up can have the same design with RUNNER-UP on line 1, which keeps every award consistent.
Ordering many names at once
With a winner and runner-up in each event, eight junior events means sixteen awards. The bulk option lets you paste the list of names in one go, then adjust the event line where needed. Your badge is uploaded once and used on every award.
Small awards at £8.99 each suit most junior events. Some clubs give the overall junior singles champions a Large award at £13.99, so the top titles stand apart from the age group winners.

Junior doubles and mixed events
Older juniors often play doubles and mixed doubles events as well as singles, and these are a good way to involve players who may not reach a singles final. Each partner should have an award, so a junior doubles event adds two winners and two runners-up to your count. Using a separate line for the event, such as U16 MIXED DOUBLES, keeps each award clear, and the same club badge runs through every one.

Questions
Should junior runners-up get an award too?
For juniors it is usually worth it. Reaching a final is a real achievement for a young player, and an award with RUNNER-UP on line 1 encourages them to come back next summer. It also doubles your count towards the minimum order.
How do we fit the age group and event on the award?
Use a separate line for it rather than squeezing it into the title. JUNIOR CHAMPION on line 1 with U14 BOYS SINGLES on line 2 is easy to read, and the live view shows how it fits.
Our club badge is white. Will it show on clear glass?
If your badge is white on a transparent background, we offer a dark backing panel so it shows clearly. Upload a transparent PNG at the largest size you have for the best result.
How quickly will the awards arrive after we order?
Made in Cornwall and delivered within 7 days If you are ordering straight after the junior championships, put all the names in one order to keep to the flat £10.00 delivery charge.
