Glass awards

Eend of season awards for Gaming Clubs and Societies

Eend of season awards are a newer tradition than most club trophies, so there is no fixed template to follow. University esports societies, school and college gaming clubs and community teams all run seasons, leagues and LAN events that end with someone deserving recognition. Our glass awards print your society or team logo in full colour, including the bright, vivid colours gaming brands tend to use, with gamertags or real names below.

Who runs gaming awards and when

At universities, the esports society committee usually hands out awards at an end-of-year social or ball, after the student leagues finish in spring. Schools and colleges with esports clubs often fold them into their existing sports or enrichment presentations, alongside football and netball. Community teams and local LAN organisers present on the night, once the bracket is done. Use end of season awards to mark a league campaign, alongside any prizes for individual tournaments.

Many leagues run in splits or seasons rather than a calendar year, so match the season line to how your league describes itself, for example Spring Split or 2025/26.

Award titles that mean something to players

Gaming has its own vocabulary, and awards that use it land better than generic titles. MVP is the obvious headline award. Clutch player of the year rewards the person who wins rounds when outnumbered. Shotcaller of the year recognises the in-game leader making the calls, and best support suits team games where one role sets up everyone else.

Alongside game-specific awards, societies often recognise the committee members and volunteers who run casual nights, stream matches or organise travel to LAN events. A society contribution award does the same job as clubman of the year in traditional sport.

Gamertags, real names or both

Decide early whether awards carry gamertags, real names or both. Gamertags often use numbers, underscores or unusual capitalisation, so copy them exactly from the team roster rather than typing from memory. Showing both works well over two lines, with the real name on the recipient line and the gamertag on the line beneath.

If you paste a list with the bulk option, look out for characters such as zero and the letter O, or a lower-case l and a capital I, which are easy to mix up in a tag.

Logos built for dark screens

Esports logos are usually designed for stream overlays and social media, which means bright colours on black. Many are supplied in white or with glowing edges on a transparent background. If yours is mainly white, choose the dark backing panel so it shows clearly on the glass. Full-colour logos with outlines print well as they are.

Order small awards for each player in a winning roster and large ones for MVP and the society's headline award. A single five-player roster reaches the minimum order on its own.

Questions

Can we print a gamertag instead of a real name?

Yes. The recipient line takes any text you type, so a gamertag, a real name or both over two lines all work. Copy tags exactly from your roster, including numbers and underscores, and check them on the photo of the award before ordering.

Our logo is white for streaming. Will it show on glass?

A white logo on a transparent background would be hard to see on clear glass, so we offer a dark backing panel for exactly this case. Alternatively, ask whoever made the logo for a full-colour version, which prints in its own colours.

What awards do university esports societies usually give?

Common choices are MVP for each team, player of the year, most improved, rookie of the year for a first-year player, and a society contribution award for committee members. Societies fielding several game titles often add one award per title.

What is the minimum order?

The minimum is 5 awards, and you can mix small at £8.99 and large at £13.99 across the order, each with different wording. Delivery is a flat £10.00 for the whole order, however many awards it includes.
