Football Young Player of the Season Award
The football young player of the season award recognises a player at the start of their football life who has already made a mark. In an adult club it usually goes to a teenager or young adult who has broken into the senior side. In a junior club it might reward a player who has stepped up an age group. Ours is UV-printed glass, with your crest in full colour above the player's name.

Football end of season awards: setting an age limit
Decide who is eligible before anyone starts talking about winners. Adult clubs commonly set an upper age, often under-21 or under-23, measured at the start of the season. Without a clear limit, a 24-year-old in their first season at the club can end up competing with a 17-year-old, which is not what the award is for.
Some clubs instead make it open to any player who came through the club's own youth section, which rewards the pathway as much as the player.
When it comes to choosing, the manager's view usually carries most weight, but it is worth asking what the player has handled as well as how they played. Moving from youth football to adult football means facing bigger, more experienced opponents, often in a more physical league. A seventeen-year-old who held their place at centre back for half a season has done something harder than the bare appearance count suggests.
A message to the youth section
When a club has both junior and senior teams, this award says something to every parent and teenager in the building: there is a route from the under-16s into the first team. Announcing it at a joint presentation, or mentioning it at the junior presentation, can help keep players at the club through the age when many drop out.
Some clubs present it alongside a short note of which junior teams the winner played in, which gives the youngest players someone local to look up to.
Fitting the long title
YOUNG PLAYER OF THE SEASON is a longer title, so check it in the live mock-up. If it feels crowded, YOUNG PLAYER on line one with 2025/26 on line four reads just as well. If the winner played for a specific team, add it to the club line, for example your club name with FIRST TEAM or U18s after it.
Women's and girls' sections often run their own version, so the same order can include a young player award for each side.
Choosing a size
The award is usually a step below player of the season, so a small block at £8.99 is common. A large block at £13.99 is a good choice if your club treats it as one of the main honours of the night.
Order it in the same basket as the rest of the club's awards. The crest stays the same throughout, and only the title and name lines change.

Questions
Can a junior club give a young player award?
Yes, but it needs a clear meaning. Junior clubs often give it to a player who played up an age group, or to the youngest player in a squad who held their own against older children.
Can the winner also be player of the season?
It is possible. Many clubs prefer to spread the honours, but if a young player was genuinely the best in the side, giving them both is fair and nobody will mind.
Should we use young player or emerging player?
Either is fine. YOUNG PLAYER OF THE SEASON is the more familiar title in UK football, while EMERGING PLAYER suits clubs that want to avoid an age-based label.
What is the minimum order?
The minimum is 5 awards per order. You can mix small at £8.99 and large at £13.99, each with different wording, and delivery is a flat £10.00.
